ULI Real Estate Consensus Forecast
(March 28, 2012) -- A new Urban Land Institute survey of 38 leading real estate economists and analysts from across the United States projects broad improvements for the nation’s economy, real estate capital markets, real estate fundamentals and the housing industry through 2014. The findings, released today, mark the start of a semi-annual survey of economists, the ULI Real Estate Consensus Forecast, being conducted by the ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate. The survey results show reason for optimism throughout much of the real estate industry. Over the next three years:

The ULI Real Estate Consensus Forecast is a survey of leading U.S. real estate economists/analysts representing leading real estate investment, advisory, and research firms and organizations. The current survey of 38 firms was released on March 28, 2012. The semi-annual survey provides forecasts for 26 economic and real estate indicators, including GDP, employment, inflation, interest rates, property transaction volumes, CMBS issuance, capitalization rates, REIT returns, property investment returns for four property types, vacancy/occupancy rates and rents for five property types, and housing starts and prices.

The ULI McCoy Symposium on Real Estate Finance
